QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"Teamwork is what they were all about.  They didn't do it for individual glory.  They did it because they loved each other."

ABOUT US

The Winnipeg Jr. Jets Hockey Team is comprised of the best hockey players born in 2002, the majority of whom live in the Province of Manitoba.  These players were carefully selected to represent Manitoba at the prestigious Brick Super Novice Invitational Tournament in Edmonton.  The “Brick Tournament” as it is widely known, was started by Canadian businessman Bill Comrie, founder of The Brick, one of Canada’s largest volume retailers of furniture and electronics.  Mr. Comrie’s vision was to create a hockey tournament for players nine and ten years of age that would be international in scope and personal in presentation.  The Brick Super Novice Invitational Hockey tournament is recognized as Canada's foremost hockey tournament and its impact can be appreciated by all those who have attended.

This fine group of young men now stands in company alongside of some of the greatest hockey players to ever have played the game.  Winnipeg Jr. Jets alumni include NHL players Jonathan Toews, Cam Barker, Cody Eakin, Nigel Dawes, Darren Helm, Travis Zajac and more.  This 2012 team is particularly special with the return of their namesake, the Winnipeg Jets.  The Winnipeg Jets of the NHL also boast some Brick graduates including Andrew Ladd, Dustin Byfuglien, and Blake Wheeler.  With their selection, these 2012 Jr. Jets have now been inducted into a very elite club.  We are excited about the prospects of this exceptional assembly of players and wish them the best of luck as they embark on this new journey.
